What is Facturae and why is it mandatory?
Facturae is the official Spanish structured XML format for e-invoices. Law 18/2022 (Crea y Crece) requires companies and freelancers to issue and receive e-invoices. The exact date depends on the technical Ministerial Order, but the change is certain.
Which companies does the Crea y Crece Law apply to?
It applies to ALL companies and freelancers invoicing other companies (B2B) on Spanish territory. Freelancers with business customers are also obliged.
How is dvfactura-e different from Verifactu?
They are different regulations that often get confused. dvfactura-e covers issuing and receiving B2B e-invoices (Crea y Crece Law). Verifactu is the anti-fraud system for billing software (RD 1007/2023). A company can be affected by both. See the dedicated Verifactu landing.
What happens if I don't adapt in time?
Administrative fines, problems invoicing public administrations (B2G), suppliers rejecting your invoice for non-compliant format, and listing on regulated business late-payment registries.
What is the invoice status engine?
The RD requires the recipient to inform the issuer of commercial acceptance/rejection, effective payment and dates within 4 calendar days (excluding Saturdays/Sundays/holidays). This requires a status engine — not a simple table. dvfactura-e covers it natively in Business Central.
Is it compatible with the upcoming AEAT public solution?
Yes. dvfactura-e is designed to integrate with the free public solution the AEAT will offer when it becomes available, while also interoperating with authorised private platforms.
How long does implementation take?
