Connect dvgtime to your Business Central
The connection is set up automatically with your connection key. You don't need to register anything in Entra ID or enter any technical details.
| 1 | Install the dvgtime extension in your Business Central (from Microsoft AppSource or the package we provide). |
| 2 | Log in to your dvgtime portal → go to the 'BC Connector' tab and copy your connection key. |
| 3 | In Business Central, open 'dvgtime Connector Setup', paste the key into 'Auth Token' and click 'Activate connector'. |
| 4 | Done: the URL, company and connection are configured. Click 'Sync now' to bring in clock-ins and absences. |
Frequently asked questions
What does the connector sync?
It imports clock-ins (working-time records) and absences and leave captured in dvgtime into Business Central, idempotently (no duplicates). Master data (employees/resources, projects) lives in Business Central.
Clock-ins are appearing as 'Skipped' — why?
Each record is linked to a Resource in Business Central by employee code. If the Resource does not yet exist, that record is skipped. Create the Resource with the corresponding number and sync again.
How do I change my connection key?
In the portal, go to the 'BC Connector' tab and click 'Regenerate key'. The previous key will stop working; paste the new one in Business Central and click 'Activate connector'.
Is my data isolated from other clients?
Yes. dvgtime is multi-tenant with strict per-company isolation: each client can only see their own data.
Does dvgtime comply with legal time tracking requirements?
Yes. dvgtime records working hours in accordance with Article 34.9 of the Workers' Statute, with an immutable and auditable history.
